Following their success in 2015 with Verdi's Otello, Everybody Can! Opera is thrilled to be returning to St James's Church, Piccadilly with one of Puccini's most loved operas, Tosca.
Passion, love, lust, sexual abuse, violence, suicide and murder are all ingredients of this great work, accompanied by dramatic and beautiful music, including the show-stopping aria 'Vissi d'arte'.
Soprano Nadine Benjamin, an ENO Harewood Artist, will sing the title role, with tenor Borja Goméz-Ferrer as her lover, the artist Cavaradossi. Baritone David Durham performs the role of the malevolent chief-of-police Baron Scarpia.
William Conway will conduct a specially-arranged orchestration in this semi-staging by director Rebecca Louise Dale, who swaps 18th-century Rome for present day London.
Sung in Italian with surtitles in English.
